Forgotten Classic Video of the Week

This week's vid is the 1986 hit "Let's Go All the Way," by Sly Fox. You would think its status as a "hit" would disqualify it from being a "forgotten" classic," but I recently got into an argument with someone at a bar who thought I was making this song up when I tried to prove its existence. So, maybe a lot of people just tried really hard to forget it. Sorry to jar you all back into reality. While the world might be a better place if the song didn't exist, it does. Proof:

I apologize for not having more smart-ass tidbits about this vid. I'm a bit stressed. I'm moving on Saturday and have a total of zero items packed. I need a drink...or 20.

OMG I have always loved that song...the white dude in the orange jump suit reminds me of Damone from Fast Times At Ridgemont High.

whoa... this is one of my favorite 80s songs. But I just saw the video for the first time a couple of months ago, and I was shocked.

I always had the idea in my head that they were a dark, gothy band, kinda like Love & Rockets. Seeing this video almost made my head explode. The video is so awful I'm ashamed I ever liked the song.

Wow. Those effects aren't very special.

I can't believe that someone was arguing with you about this song's existence. It's not like the song barely scraped the bottom of the charts... it was a top 10 hit! I will say that I liked the earlier song from which "Let's Go All the Way" borrowed its groove... 1985's "A Fly Girl" by The Boogie Boys.

I LOVED this song, still do, and the "Fly Girl" track Malcolm mentioned. Learned to dance to all that and been dancing to that beat ever since...

Holy freshman year of high school...this song used to get played every morning for about two years when I was a kid. Unfortunately I still remember most of it.
I would love to have seen you trying to prove this song's existence in a bar. Did you do the dance moves too?

Good luck with the move, yo! Save the drinks for after.

I'll forgive you. For now. Keep slackin' and I'm likely to take you off my blogroll.

By the way, good luck with the move. Have you hired a couple of good looking, big strapping mouth breathers to help?

Imagine the pride these dopes had when this was done.

You have to have these things in your head in order to find them and post them. That head of yours is a fascinating place.

Good luck with the move

Hey good luck with the move. You're not really packing up and going on the American Idol tour are you?
I don't remember this song at all, which probably means it was wildly popular.

Good luck moving. Hopefully, you're as poor as I am, so it will take ten minutes, tops.

I had the 45 of this song and it's probably still in storage in my parents' basement. I think it was #2 on my Beach Music Mix Tape as well...for some reason it always seemed like a summer song to me, that it needed to be blasted on the car stereo while driving through Ocean City, MD on a Saturday night. Good times!

Oh I totally remember this song! The video, I dont remember at all, which is strange...

I hope your move went ok Beckeye. If I lived there, I would've totally helped you out! I'm one of those freaky people who actually enjoy packing stuff up into boxes...speshly when it's not my own stuff!
