Happy 4th!

Pretty, eh? Well, fireworks schmireworks. Unsurprisingly, the forecast calls for rain so I think I'll just stay in tonight and get in touch with my inner geek by enjoying the rest of the Twilight Zone marathon.

I may be able to see some of the fireworks from my roof, but I'm not banking on that. If not, I guess I can always just flip on the Macy's show, hit mute and use the very excellent and appropriate (but not necessarily patriotic) Bill Janovitz and Crown Victoria record, Fireworks on TV, as my soundtrack. I braved the insane crowds last year to watch the display at the South Street Seaport, and it wasn't that exciting. Personally, I thought Pittsburgh's was better.

I think we can see the fireworks from my buddy's place, where we're headed for BBQ. If not, there's always Pops Goes the 4th.

Happy Independence Day.

Nu?
You're a geek?
Are you single?

I loved "The Monkey's Paw" episode. Frightened the bejesus out of me it did.

I would so totally love SciFi's Twilight Zone marathon if I hadn't already seen each episode 147 times in my life.

We do our own fireworks because we don't want to drive anywhere...

*wink*wink*

Oh, come to think of it, in our condition, we shouldn't be playing with fire either... ;-)

Actually, the fireworks at Summerfest in Cincinnati were better than those off Manhattan. I was a little disappointed, but fireworks are always fun to watch.

Like you, though, I think I'll stay in because of the forecast. Happy 4th, anyway.

we got rained out of our local fireworks, but the Philadelphia downtown ones still seem to be on, crazies

Wasn't much to look at in Vegas this year, for a change...

Hope you had a happy 4th, whether it was on the roof, or channeling your inner geek in front of the TV!
Pittsburgh does something better than Manhattan? Does Sienna Miller know?

I know you are sleeping, but could you get up and adjust your webcam a few degrees to the right?
All I see is a suitcase, two Macey's bags and an umbrella.

That was fast!

Thanks

I did the wholesome drive across the mountains thing, then came home and watched my town's fireworks from my porch. Wish I'd known about the "Twilight Zone" marathon ...

I avoided the Twilight Zone marathon but only by force of will. I figure if I miss a year occasionally I will appreciate it more!
