Forgotten Classic Video of the Week

This song has been in my head since I posted my top songs of the year. Ever since I mentioned how I was driving and started nearly crying when I heard a particular Crowded House song. Have you figured it out yet, rock 'n rollas??

Here is the fist-pumping (now) classic, "Fly Me Courageous," from the band with, quite possibly, the most apostrophes in its name, Drivin' N' Cryin'. Technically, they're one apostrophe short since the "N" is standing in for "and," which means there should be an apostrophe before and after the N. Guns N' Roses is also guilty of this grammatical error, but they rocked hard enough to get away with it. One-hit wonders don't get a pass.

They should've waited until the model got the bandages removed from her implant surgery.

You continue to make me smile. Just yesterday I was telling a friend how I'm getting more and more obsessive about the year 1991 and the music that I loved back then. And here you are reminding me of Drivin' N' Cryin'. (Fly Me Courageous, 1991)

I can easily over the the apostrophe thing. It's lead singer Kevn, not Kevin, that I can't quite wrap my head around.

Listening to them now and remembering a road trip to Knoxville to see them that year. ;)

Another great Georgia band, another great Atlanta boy. Kevn and Peter Buck used to host a food drive concert every year on the anniversary of John Lennon's murder. Peter said hi to me several times at one show.

Comment boxes are here for self-indulgent memories, right?
Good for you for being a grammar nazi. The world needs more of those. Maybe the girl who is studying to be a notorary helped with those names.

Shouldn't that be Kev'n Buck?

Thanks Becky! Damn, I haven't played this CD since 90's. I'm going to ride into work with this on tonight.
All Hail the Apostrophe!

I'm forming a band called "'''''''" just to prove you wrong, though. Look for our first album, called, "Wow, I've really spent a lot of time and effort on a pretty dumb joke."

I have to say that I won't be able to get that guitar riff out of my head tonight. It goes to show that rock stations forget to check the archives for gems in lieu of playing repetitious crap.

"Oh Lady, won't you take it easy!" Wow, I sure love these trips down amnesia lane. You dig up some cool stuff that has been grossly overlooked for too long.
