Go ahead. Extend that middle finger.
Don't hide it, honey. They deserve it.
American Idol is all wrong and, no, it's not all right.
Dad, if you still read my blog, please shield your eyes.
WHAT THE FUCK?!?
Michael Johns is out.
I always knew that voting was pointless. Yet, I voted for Michael this week. Apparently, no one else did. Or at least that's what AI wants us to believe. I don't want to be one of those people who immediately calls foul when she doesn't get her way, but this is the most unbelievable results night I've ever seen in the history of this show. And it's not just because of my personal, all-consuming obsession with Michael.
If you read the blogs, Michael has a huge fan base. People are sick of Carly. No one really likes Syesha. Most folks think Kristy Lee Cook is a joke. And there they sit on the comfy couches while Michael sings one last time. Well, one last time on this sorry excuse for a show. He'll go on to bigger and better things, I have no doubt. BUT WHAT THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO LOOK AT FOR THE NEXT SEVEN EXCRUCIATING WEEKS???
Michael can't do a damn thing until this show wraps up because, Heaven forbid he have any success on his own that might take any focus away from the AI monkey circus.
Well, readers, those of you who don't like AI and, therefore, don't read my recaps are in for a treat. Because I will either:
A. Stop watching and recapping altogether
B. Continue watching and write shorter, nastier recaps
C. Continue watching and write recaps worthy of '80s-era Andrew Dice Clay
I haven't decided which option to go with yet. I'm too annoyed right now. I can't even fully enjoy the season premiere of The Office because I'm ready to put my foot through the TV screen.
He'll be back...
And he'll sell more records than whoever wins this farce.

I vote for C - and then see how many hits (and agreements) you'll get when they google Idol and come across this site.
A fucking joke.
Pardon the language.
when have they EVER announced two people as being safe at the same time....and then the "last time on Idol Cares we didnt send anyone home" bullshit...
If this is the show they want, they can have it....
Damn that Randy Jackson and his displeasure over the UNTYLER.
Sometimes love just ain't enough.
I am so very sorry. You are in my thoughts and prayers. And though I like the dread-head hippie boy, even he should have gone before Michael.
I am stunned.
To be honest, though, I liked Michael's pretty much more than most of his performances. The only time I voted for him was on Dolly Parton week, because he just wowed me. When he wasn't singing Queen, I usually found him "meh". But very pretty.
I hope you keep blogging because I really enjoy your sense of humor.
We'll be seeing Michael again! Hope he puts out an R&B type album.
Oh and I vote for C too. I may not watch Idol ever again but I sure as hell will look forward to your recaps.
Hang in there buddy.
I am really sorry that they are so stupid. Now that you don't like them I feel ok putting them down :)
Anyhow I want C.
You know I call it the show that shall not be named because of the way they dis my guy from season 5, and he was the winner. It's the nature of this show.
Take care.
They suck. Ryan sucked for handling it the way he did.
I vote for "C".
I hated that Seacrest attempted to mislead Michael into thinking that no one would be voted off during IGB week. Cruel. I had no idea he had such sadistic qualities.
Sorry, Beckeye. I feel your pain.
After reading your recap, I wish I'd seen this week's show. It seems they actually sang several songs I really like this week.
Goodbye Michael John
Though I never knew you at all
You had the grace to hold yourself
While those around you crawled
They crawled out of the woodwork
Randy whispered into your brain
They set you on the treadmill
And they kicked you off the show
And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the votes came in
And I would have liked to have known you
But I was just a viewer
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend never did
etc...
I am sorry to see Michael go. I really thought it was going to by Syesha this week. I don't know where her fan base is coming from, but it can' hold out much longer. Console yourself with the knowledge that many non winners are having much greater success than winners. You will hear from Michael again. It just might be a year.
Again sorry your Idol is gone.
I will certainly miss your snarky yet accurate recaps if you give up.
Just think Becks, he's free of recording contracts now to come and 'visit' you.
'Visit' is a codeword for 'have sex'.
I agree that Syesha and Kristy are both well past their 'good before' dates and need to go home. I disagree with you about Carly but Michael should not have been the loser this week.
So are you cranky or what?
I think that they have been making a concerted effort to counter the "VFTW effect", but the continued presence of KLC and the ouster of more talented individuals shows that they still have a lot of work to do in this area. Not sure what they can do, or if anything can be done to fix it
I honestly don't think Michael would have won this competition had he stayed, but there are other people who should have gone before him.
I think he straying from R&B might have hurt...he will do well..
but as Travis said...after the way they are treating the winner of Season 5 - nothing shocks me about that show...
i totally vote for extra mean recaps moving forward.
I came as soon as I heard. Can I bake you a cake, or something?
I vote for snarky recaps, because reading your recaps of any show is very fun. I wish you were covering "Top Chef", actually. Those kids are nuts and need to be julienned in Beckeye fashion.
In any event, Syesha should have gone home. At least you'll have less competition for his affections! Nobody wants to do Mr. Eighth Place :)
