Forgotten Classic Video(s) of the Week

I don't know what's going on with me lately. I'm like a walking jukebox...as long as that jukebox can be found in a dive bar in 1978. I think it all started with my insistence that Michael Johns should've sung Exile's "Kiss You All Over" two weeks ago. Even though he didn't, since then I've been having all sorts of fevered dreams involving Michael, open shirts, chest hair, medallions, polyester, roller skates, roach clips and drinking wine out of a box on a bearskin rug in front of the fireplace while the 8-track plays the most awesome, shagadelic soundtrack ever.

I guess I can let you all in on the fun. Let's get this key party started!

Let's kick things off with the song that started it all - Exile's "Kiss You All Over," from 1978's Mixed Emotions.

Up next, the tune that has burrowed into my brain within the past two days and I have yet to stop singing it. Soak up Ambrosia's "How Much I Feel," from 1978's Life Beyond L.A.

To wrap things up, let's travel a little further back to 1975 for "Dance With Me," by Orleans, from Let There Be Music.

Looking at all of these guys, who were the hot idols of their day, it's hard to believe that anyone ever got laid in the '70s. I'm lucky to be here!

well, they don't do videos like those today..
good melodies are missing, why don't any artist make a song like "How much I feel" today ?

"Kiss You All Over" always reminds me of Adam Sandler and Happy Gilmore.
The best musical decade ever.

Have you seen the movie "Music & Lyrics" - I think you would LOVE IT!!

Havent heard these songs forever!! I am thinking of making a CD with all your Classic Video songs. LOL
That dude from Exile looks to be playing a Les Paul on that track. Thats like sacrilege in my book.

I'm embarrassed to admit these are on the soundtrack of my freshman year in college.

Dance with Me. How many junior high dances did I waltz with the wrong guy to that. Classic BeckEye.

Nice to meet you briefly over on Espanya's blog.
I dunno, I was alive in the 70s and I don't recall anybody ever thinking those guys were hot. Perhaps I just hung with a better crowd.

I was a little disappointed to find that the video for "Kiss You All Over" is no longer available on You Tube. Oh well, I've got the song on a CD mix at home.

Ambrosia had a few jams back then. My favorite is "You're the Biggest Part of Me".

Don't get me started on "Dance With Me". That song has really grown on me within the past couple of years. My favorite part is when the bearded dude on keyboards sings "I can take you where you want to go".
