Since an elderly Bryan Adams appeared on Wednesday's American Idol finale, I thought I would give his youthful self classic video honors this week.
Hey, turn off your radio before I kick it and smash it! Now, turn up your computer speakers and sing along to the 1983 hit from Cuts Like a Knife, "This Time." The video chronicles a wild road trip, on which Bryan camps out at Motel Hell and briefly joins Tom Sawyer's Huckleberry gang, all while stalking a pair of disembodied legs.

Nice choice.
His demographic is the same as Tim McGraw who used to sing about getting stuck in Mexico and now croons Tiny Dancer for the frau.
Where are the real men rock stars?

In 1993 I went to see Bryan Adams, I was never a huge fan, but a then friend was a bigshot at MTV back in the day and got tickets. We met BA back stage and he was - well just weird.
Bryan was playing in whatever they call that venue that is the smaller stage at Madison Square Garden. Sting was playing MSG. Sting actually came over at one point and sang that insipid song they did together and then left.
Have I offended you and all your other much-more-hip-than-I readers now?
I hope not!
Did you know that Adams wrote "When the Night Comes," which Joe Cocker had a hit with?
I attribute his success to this
Meh. Kidding. He's alright, he is. My dad made me listen to his stuff when I was 8. I'm still rather fond of him, I must say.
