BeckEye's Not-So-Excellent Adventures in Fashion

Ah, neon. This must have been around 1985-1986. It was definitely after the summer of 1984, because that's when Madonna's "Lucky Star" was released, and that's what prompted me to buy (and wear the hell out of) those earrings. I'm actually surprised I'm wearing them both here. I used to like to mix and match them, just like good ol' Madge.

There isn't enough space here to talk about that mullet.

Dang, you were the definition of "laid-back" in that pic.

Frankie says, "RELAX" about the mullet. They weren't bad until they started to be done wrong by the rednecks.

Word,

To your mother.

My word ver? shexi!

"Baby looking shexi in neon green."

Or

"How old? She XI" (For Jenks!)

Oh, Gen, they're socks. I WISH I'd had neon green shoes back in the day. But I always made sure that my shirt and socks matched.

You feathered that hair like a champ, seriously. Good work, you.

Aw you skinny little cutie! I defy anyone our age to have a freaking GOOD picture of themselves from that era. It can't be done. I had spiky hair and giant skirts and layer tops and EW EW EW. I thought I was so grown up and punk rock, man. Really. If I had a time machine I'd go back to 1985 and slap the shit out of myself.

I think that outfit is kind of cool. Then again, I'm maybe the worst dressed guy I know.

Oh god! I too had a Madge-inspired wardrobe in '85. I had bracelets from my wrists to my elbows. Yeesh.

I have no room to talk about fashion, since I dress worse than most flood victims.

Who Does This Broad Think She Is?

My photo
I am a winsome muse who was sent to Earth to inspire an artist to turn a vacant building into the world's coolest disco roller rink. We fell in love along the way, and I foolishly gave up my immortality. When the disco craze ended and all the roller rinks were shut down, that lazy bum wouldn't get a job. We broke up and I was stuck on Earth with nothing to do and no one to inspire. So, now I write a blog.
