Heyyy, so this Weekly iPod Wars thing is already not living up to its name. I totally spaced on naming a winner last week, which I figured would have given more people time to vote, but we all know that the shelf life of a blog post is about a 24 hours and three minutes. So, no one really cared.
In case you've already forgotten who the battlers were, it was Pete Yorn's "Life on a Chain" versus Robyn, who proved herself to be "Indestructible," indeed, taking the vote 6-4.
Now the Swedish dance queen goes up against Kiwi popsters, Crowded House, one of my FAVORITE BANDS EVER. This particular song is also a favorite of mine, and the album it's from (Together Alone) is my favorite of theirs. I won't say too much more because I don't want to be accused of trying to sway the vote. But I will say that if the opposing song was "Distant Sun" (aka one of the best songs in the history of ever), I would have dismantled this democracy, named Crowded House the winner and killed anyone who dared question my ruling. But it's not, so I won't, so hey, rock the vote!
Song #1: "Indestructible," Robyn
Song #2: "In My Command," Crowded House
