Adam Cook 1971 - 2009

David Cook's brother, Adam, who had been battling brain cancer for more than ten years, died early Sunday morning. David announced the news yesterday in Washington D.C., where he was acting as honorary chairman for the Race for Hope.

I thought that when David appeared on American Idol last month, he didn't look well and seemed like he was sleepwalking through his performance. Now it makes sense. I guess his brother had taken a turn for the worse. It's such a shame. Adam was only 37, and leaves behind a wife and two children.

My heart goes out to David and his family. If anyone is interested in supporting David in the fight against brain cancer, you can donate to his team here.

Oh no!!

I'm crushed to hear this.

I too thought David looked tired last month and like he really didn't want to be there. Now I see why.

Soooooooo sad. :-(

I heard about this. So freaking sad. I can't believe that David Cook was able to perform the next day. Man, that must have really taken some strength.

That's too bad. Too young.

Beck, nice shout out. I heard about it over the weekend and also sent my thoughts and prayers their way. Not much you can say in such a situation other than it was an absolute tragedy.

Who Does This Broad Think She Is?

My photo
I am a winsome muse who was sent to Earth to inspire an artist to turn a vacant building into the world's coolest disco roller rink. We fell in love along the way, and I foolishly gave up my immortality. When the disco craze ended and all the roller rinks were shut down, that lazy bum wouldn't get a job. We broke up and I was stuck on Earth with nothing to do and no one to inspire. So, now I write a blog.
