David Cook's brother, Adam, who had been battling brain cancer for more than ten years, died early Sunday morning. David announced the news yesterday in Washington D.C., where he was acting as honorary chairman for the Race for Hope.
I thought that when David appeared on American Idol last month, he didn't look well and seemed like he was sleepwalking through his performance. Now it makes sense. I guess his brother had taken a turn for the worse. It's such a shame. Adam was only 37, and leaves behind a wife and two children.
My heart goes out to David and his family. If anyone is interested in supporting David in the fight against brain cancer, you can donate to his team here.

I'm crushed to hear this.
I too thought David looked tired last month and like he really didn't want to be there. Now I see why.
Soooooooo sad. :-(
