Well, I wound up sitting out most of the season and have to say I don't have any regrets right now. I did find that reading your recaps was pretty much all the fun with just a fraction of the watching time.
No doubt in my mind that Adam Lambert was the better singer.
However, the fact that Adam doesn't have to sing that slop pile of a song by Kara on his album is the silver lining. He'll be better off for not winning, I'm sure of it. And I'm sure he knows that - did he look at all disappointed to lose? NO.
Is it OK for someone who never watched five minutes to even have an opinion? If so, then I think Kris' victory is the pop culture equivalent to the infamous "Southern Strategy." You can't win an election without the South, and that Glambert dude might stare at my buttocks too long!
(Translation: I dunno if "American Idol" the show hates gays, but a huge chunk of the show's fans sure as heck don't wanna see one o' them thar flitty fellers take the title.)
The only thing I saw all season was the "We Are the Champions" scene. There should have been no competition.
The local SC Fox station afterwards went to a bar that had AI on and one Gokey fan after another (yes they do exist and yes they are intellectually challenged) said they were pulling for Kris since Gokey was out. I hadn't taken that into consideration. No big wup. Adam will prove me right.
isn't it kind of better for adam not to have won? now he doesn't have to produce the cd written by the AI machine, and he's OBVS going to get signed by someone else...
No matter if the Christians defeated Adam with their unholy Danny/Adam Alliance. The fact is Miss California will never be Miss U.S.A. and this lame attempt at payback was a failure. Just like Prejean's plastic surgery

no matter if the Unholy Christian Alliance of Danny and Kris beat out the gay Adam, Miss California will never be Miss U.S.A. Payback is always sour and disappointing. Christians 0, Lions 1

And I refuse to believe Adam didn't win. I think Kris felt the same way.
Two words...Clay Aiken. ;)

I saw that Glambert was on the cover of Entertainment Weekly recently (I was in the dentist's office). Obvs, EVERYONE thinks he's the winner.
Good thing he didn't win, he can get right to it!
"This show jumped the shark and then came back and beat it like it was Rodney King."
Can't stop laughing!!!
